Book number 23 in the 26-books-in-52-weeks challenge has to be a book written by someone younger than me.
So that’s a huge field to choose from. I’d guess most current authors are probably younger than me.
Spoiled for choice doesn’t begin to cover it. In the end I decided to go for three of my favourite authors – from my three favourite genres – and all of whom I’m guessing are indeed younger than me.
In Crime Fiction: Any of Ian Rankin’s Rebus books
In Contemporary Women’s Fiction: Any of Jan Ruth’s books
In Creative Non-Fiction: Any of Robert McFarlane’s books
Whew! This has been the hardest one so far.
Where would you start with this one? And what would you go for?
Wow! There are many authors younger than I am as well. I might choose Porcupine by Meg Tilly. It is a middle-grade book, so well written.
Well done for making a choice Darlene 🙂
Sebastian Faulks. I’m sure he’s younger than me, I love all his books but, my favourite is Human Traces.
Well done that man on your decisiveness. Thanks for commenting, George.
Like you there are so many authors younger than me that it’s hard to know where to start but I keep promising myself, having read the latest three books by David Mitchell that I will go back and read the earlier ones in order to see how they all link together. So, Ghostwritten would be my choice.
Oh yes, I like David Mitchell too. Thanks for your reply 🙂
